Sprinkler Upgrades

Water better- get better coverage & use less water!

If you're a homeowner looking to save a little bit of money on your water bill every month, replacing builder-grade sprinkler heads with low-flow sprinkler heads is one step you can take to conserve water. In fact, by upgrading from builder-grade sprinklers to low-flow sprinklers, you can save about 50 percent on your water bill.

Low-Flow Sprinklers

Low-flow sprinklers typically deliver the same amount of water as standard Sprinkler Heads with less watering of sidewalks and other areas that don't have vegetation. They also use less water because they operate at lower pressures and apply the volume of water gradually over time instead of dumping it all at once as builder-grade Sprinkler Head does. This saves money, time and prevents the water from pooling on sidewalks where it could evaporate or create runoff.

Low-flow Sprinkler Heads typically screw onto existing risers, but if you want to replace your sprinklers with low-flow Sprinkler Heads, you need a new riser for each one. Also, make sure there is at least 1/2 inch of open space between the top of the soil and the bottom of your old Sprinkler Head's deflector (the part that rotates and sprays water). If not, you'll need to adjust by digging out some dirt around your old Sprinkler Head; otherwise, it won't work properly with low-flow Sprinkler Heads.
