Malfunctioning Clock Controllers

Clock issues- it is time to fix it!

Does your Hunter (or another brand) sprinkler controller not seem to be working properly? System clocks wear out over time or even in some cases suffer damage due to irregular supply of power. This happens during lightning storms or even during brownouts

If your sprinkler system seems to be watering excessively long or if certain zones aren't turning on at all then this could be caused by a bad Control System.

Select zones not working?

Some Control Systems use a common clock, which can affect certain zones if it's malfunctioning. The clock is the brain of your irrigation system, sending control signals to your system's solenoids which controls the valves for each of the zones in your system.  When control clocks are malfunctioning they cause your sprinkler system to function sporadically which can lead to widespread damage to your lawn.

If you find that certain zones aren't turning on or if the entire system is taking longer than usual then it's possible that the Hunter Control System clock has gone bad. It's also possible that a breaker is tripped. If you have determined that isn't the issue, it is time to call the experts at Andrew Cosh's Irrigation Service at 727-809-0596

Don't get your signals crossed...

When your Controller Clock/Control System is giving inaccurate signals, your sprinklers will operate inconsistently. This can result in water pooling or even over-spray on some areas of the garden while others are not getting enough water.
